A Surprise on the Counter

I was pleasantly surprised to see these on my counter in one of my favorite vintage milk bottles. (Don't they make the best vases?) I think they were from sweet daughter #2 with a little help from my #1 (~and only~)  hubby.  Flowers make me happy. Especially fresh cut flowers. Especially from my own garden! Especially as a surprise gift!

I love to use jelly jars to hold pens & other necessities that are needed immediately at the counter for homework!

The dry erase ceramic "board" was found at Goodwill for $2:

The quote was borrowed from this blog. I love it! I also write what the evening activities are, although it isn't fitting well these days! & stuff like "practice piano~5 days till recital! Love, Mom"

These are coral pieces from our trip earlier in the month. The ring (isn't it great & big??) was a find by my daughter on the soccer field!

I have a little something hiding out of view on my counter. Check back later this week as I will be giving it away to one lucky winner! It is something for outdoors & very "summery"!

What's on your kitchen counters these days?

Nothing exciting on my counter at the moment, but the kids haven't gotten home yet...so in about 1 hour there will probably be a few empty cereal bowls waiting to go in the dishwasher. :)

  6. Outdoors....???? Summery....???? Could it be a Çorona????? On my countertop is a thank you card ready to send to the Marquardt's for letting us use their roof top carrier :)

  7. On my counter tops lay many different things including mail to be sorted, dirty dishes, schoolwork from the girls backpacks... But my favorite thing is the weight watchers points counter to keep me focused on some healthy choices. I think I'll cut some roses from my garden and add them to the counter, too.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my peony post. I'll have to find a way to come to that event, I'd be in peony heaven!

You had asked about my engagement, I'm married now but were you thinking I should write a post about how I became engaged? There have been a lot of Posts by other bloggers about Paris and France lately and it always takes me back to that trip. We have been back to Paris one time since but it was a very short layover to another destination.

Hmm, I may have to write our engagement story in September for our 4th Anniversary. ;)
