Sunny Morning

Isn't it amazing how a sunny morning can get you up & moving? This was my view this morning from the upper porch.

And this is what I will be doing today with my friend Bella. Bella is very bored while watching me paint. She usually enjoys a nice nap while I am working. {These have been sanded & then primed with 2 coats of exterior Kilz. Now awaiting 2 coats of exterior paint~I will post pictures when the project is completed)

I am taking full advantage of this awesome painting weather. Warm (70's) & a light breeze today!

Remember just a short while ago it looked something like this:

Big improvement, don't you think?  Other things on my list:

  • new custom blog header! Almost done.
  • check on couch & chairs that I found through a friend~think transformation!
  • research painting/replacing shutters
  • wash porches & get out porch furniture (now that pine trees are done spilling forth the yellow dust!)
  • finish interview with my best blogging buddy *you will love her*!!
Let's stop the list right there. That will take me a few days! I am linking up to Amy's Anti Procrastination Tuesday @ New Nostalgia.

Also, I did get one important thing checked off last week's list. I had a backup device on my computer that hasn't been functioning & I emailed the company & because it was still under warranty (I had the receipt from January 2008~see my organization tip for paperwork here) they are going to replace a part for free. It should be up & working soon!

Spring lists are always long. I hope you get a chance to enjoy the chirping birds & beautiful blooms while working away at your list.

  1. Great list...you can do it! I have an anti-procrastination list...it's looming over my head and pretty scary. Off to zumba and then to tackle the girls room...again! I'm half tempted to rempove everything and let them find their outfit in the laundry room every day. It's that bad...

  2. Beautiful shot Cathy! Can't wait to see all the transformations! Especially the header!

  3. That weather looks heavenly. And I'm waiting to see the final results. That picnic table will be used a lot this summer, I'd warrant!

  4. You are my kind of girl! Love lists, being organized and taking advantage of 70 degree days. :) It's in the 90's here in Orlando and it's tres sticky. lol. I'm hoping for a 'cold front' so I can get some outdoor projects done without passing out. ;)

LOVE that picnic table, it's going to be great!

  5. Oh my...I don't even want to think about how long my list would be.
I seriously love your view! Morning coffee, a little quiet time and maybe some blogging...I could do it all right there!
Looking forward to seeing your new header.
You are so smart to be getting so much done!
    Happy day!
    :) Jen

  6. Can't wait to see the final product. Power tools and everything... I am impressed.

  7. Can't wait to see the results! I did my patio set last spring and it turned out great....a refreshing change! What a gorgeous view you have!

  8. Me too! On a sunny morning I always have a little more pep in my step! One of the first things I do in the morning is make my list! Can't wait to see your new header!

  9. Cathy-
I could us ea friend like you in real life--your organization and enthusiasm for getting things done...I need that to rub off on mE!!!! Your view is gorgeous, I would be up early enjoying that, too! :) Can't wait to see the finished patio furniture.

  10. Cathy, I'm pea green with envy over that beautiful view. My hubbys family is from Nelsonville. I thought that I read somewhere you were lived in Ohio. That view is remarkable! What a lovely thing to wake up too!

I think should follow your example and make a spring list too!! Good idea!!

  11. I love that you linked up! What a great project, it will so be worth your time. Can't wait to hear what else you accomplished this week, would love to see you again tomorrow at "Anti-Procrastination Tuesdays!"

I truly LOVE your comments and hope that you will take a second and share your thoughts with me! I will return the favor, too!
