The Steeple Project

Remember how a few weeks ago I told you I had 2 new assignments? One of them was to photograph an architectural element in our area. The architectural element that I was in the process of photographing was church steeples. There are many that are quite beautiful. Today I saw two gorgeous steeples. They were at the church where all 3 of my children have been baptized. If I were to describe the steeples to you, they look something like these beautiful green oxidized crosses stretching up toward heaven as if to say, we are here God, protect us and guide us.

I went to that church today for a funeral. It was the funeral of my friend's little 4 year old boy.  It was heartwrenchingly sad and yet, beautiful at the same time.  It was deep & profound. I don't know how to finish this post except to say to the T family, that you have loved so deeply and little S will never be forgotten. Our prayers are with you.

hugs,

  1. I can picture the steeples. There is a really beautiful church steeple that I look at everytime I am in the car line at school. Something about it...so comforting.
So sorry to hear about your friend. What a hard day!

Steeples do have something very comforting about them, pointing in a direction that will be our home.
